Jewish Homestead Fellowship, June 7th-30th at Pushing the Envelope Farm

Connect. Live off the Land. Explore Earth-based Torah.
The Jewish Homestead Fellowship is an immersive experience which allows young adults to explore farming and the environment in a Jewish context. The 3-week residential fellowship offers hands-on classes in sustainable agriculture, homesteading workshops, and an opportunity to explore Chicago.
During the three week residential program, fellows will spend time getting their hands dirty in the garden, working closely with and caring for farm animals, and exploring the Jewish connection to nature while immersed in Jewish communal life. Classes and fieldwork will take place during the week, while each Saturday will center around learning and enjoying Shabbat together. Sundays will feature field trips to Chicago, and to other grass-roots Jewish agricultural and food justice projects.
The program will allow fellows to grow not only in their own skills and capabilities, but also to gain a more profound understanding of the potential of Jewish tradition to bring vibrancy and vitality to their lives. Please visit this link for more information, or view the attached document.
